A Significant Step Forward for the Balochistan Assessment & Examination Commission (BAEC) The Balochistan Assessment & Examination Commission (BAEC), established under the BAEC Act 2018, convened its first Commission meeting after eight years—marking a historic milestone in strengthening the province’s education assessment framework. The meeting was chaired by the Honorable Minister for Education and attended by a distinguished 14-member committee, Lal Jan Jaffer (Secretary School Education Department), Mr Asmatullah (Secretary Social Welfare), Secretary Colleges Mr Saleh Baloch, Special Secretary Health Mr Shayhaq Baloch , representatives from Planning & Development, representatives from University of Balochistan, Sardar Bahadur Khan Women University, a private school representative, and the CEO BAEC serving as Secretary to the Commission. CEO BAEC Mr. Munir Ahmad Nudezai briefed the panel extensively on the Commission’s mandate, progress, and future roadmap. During the session, key institutional and governance matters were discussed, focusing on: • Finalization of BAEC Service Rules • Approval of Rules of Business • Review and approval of expenditures against the allocated budget This long-awaited meeting sets the foundation for operationalizing BAEC’s structure, organogram, and governance mechanisms, paving the way for improved transparency, accountability, and quality in educational assessments across Balochistan
