Service matters in brief

Transfers & postings. Governed by the e-Transfer Policy 2026: open-merit windows twice a year, tenure protection of three years at a station, hard-area incentives, and wedlock/medical grounds. The full policy is in the Document Centre.

Attendance. Teacher presence is verified through the Real-Time School Monitoring programme; quarterly district reports are published in Data & Reports.

Pay & pension. Pay slips and pension cases are handled by the Accountant General's office; the department's HR wing at the Directorate of Schools coordinates service-book and pension paperwork.

Assessment. The Continuous Teacher Assessment Programme (CTAP) links assessment results to targeted professional development at PITE — not to punitive action.
