How the curriculum is managed
The Bureau of Curriculum & Extension Centres (BoC&EC) develops and reviews schemes of studies and represents Balochistan in the national curriculum process. The Balochistan Textbook Board (BTBB) produces and distributes textbooks based on the approved curriculum — over 6.2 million free textbooks were dispatched for 2026–27. The Balochistan Examination & Assessment Commission (BEAC) aligns Grade 5 and Grade 8 assessments to the curriculum's learning outcomes.
Each academic year is versioned: the current year is clearly marked, and previous years remain retrievable for reference. Urdu-medium and English-medium variants are published separately where they differ.
